Faith and belief are the two reasons which make our heads bow for God. In India there are numerous temples which are not devoted to God or goddess but creatures, ,animals and ghosts.
Now I'm going to talk about a shrine which may not be familiar to everyone except few who have travelled on the "Manali Leh Highway "It is a series of 21 hairpen bends that takes you to Nakeela. When we reach nakeela we will come across a shrine with piles of water and biscuits.I wondered for what they where kept there? then I got to know it was kept as a offering to appease the Ghost that haunts that loop
A few years ago,a truck with its driver and cleaner were headed towards Leh, the truck broke down. After many hours of trying to fix the driver decided to walk to the nearest village to get some help. The cleaner stayed in the truck to guard the things
Due to bad weather the driver was unable to return to the truck.When he returned the cleaner had died of thirst,hunger and cold.When the highway opened the following year people noticed strange happening such as a beggar asking for food and water .This news got spread and the locals set up a shrine and offered water bottles for their safe journey
