The cuisine of Bihar is largely similar to North Indian cuisine but has influences from other East Indian cuisines It is highly seasonal watery foods such as watermelon and sharbat made from the pulp of the wood-apple fruit are consumed mainly in the summer months, while dry foods such as preparations made of sesame seeds and poppy seeds are consumed more frequently in the winter months.

Dishes for which Bihar is famous include Bihari kebabs, litti chokha, Bihari boti, Bihari chicken masala,fish curry and halwa.
Sattu Drink is made with roasted gram powder, water, rock salt and roasted cumin, it is as tasty as it is healthy. On most occasions it is a breakfast on the go for busy people.
Tueka dish is the one more dish famous in Bihar made with whole wheat and jaggery and is deep fried. In the sacred festival .
