Land Of Spices.

I'm going to talk about South India's most serenely beautiful state known for its rich and generous use of coconuts "Kerala".When it comes to food, Kerala is indeed rich with its authentic delicacies.one might also be able to identify the taste of coconut in most dishes.Here are some of the dishes which Kerala boasts of !!

  • Appam with ishtu.         
  •  Ela sadya.                 
  • Parippu payasam.         
  • Nadan kozhi varuthathu(spicy chicken fry).             
  • Karimeen pollichathu.     
  • Kerala style fish molee.  
  • Thalassery biryani.     
  • Kallumakkaya ularthiyathu( mussels stir-fried)

Palada payasam:
Palada payasam is a sweet rice kheer prepared with palada. This dish is usually served during festivals like Onam.Among the many varieties of payasam like pradhaman,cherupayar payasam, pal payasam.Palada payasam is the most popular one.

Ethakka Appam(banana fritters)
It is a favorite snack item in Kerala. These fritters are made from a ripened plantation called "Nendram pazham", a local fruit found in most of the region in Kerala.The banana is dripped in a sweetened flour batter and fried till it is spicy



Kallumakkay ularthiyathu.It is a popular dish in Kerala.kids will definitely like as it looks different from normal kinds of seafood.Though it requires a lot of time and effort in its preparation. It is definitely worth the wait.

One of Kerala's most traditional delicacies karimeen pollichathu is a dish made out of pearl spot fish commonly found in the backwaters of Alleppey and Kumarakom. It is originally a Syrian Christian delicacy but has now become a part of Kerala cuisine. There are some dishes like these which leaves you mouth watering. So, make it a point to taste all these delicacies when you visit Kerala.
