Toss equals good luck

India is full of culture, heritage, diversities, nature and a lot more.India is explored for its beauty, history , its tradition and culture....but for a change, let us explore India for its weird, unusual and superstitious beliefs. Some part of people does have weird beliefs which are scary and hilarious.....In our childhood we all have heard our grandparents telling if a black cat crosses our path then it is a bad omen and sneezing before commencing a work or job is considered to be a bad omen.....and still I don't get any point in this.....mainly the "sneezing belief".....and still these types of beliefs are practiced in some parts of India which is sad to hear.

In the southern state of Karnataka, an unusual belief which is really really weird to hear is practiced in the Digambareshwara Temple located in the village Nagrala where the toddlers of age six and below are tossed from a height of 30ft from the temple balcony to ground by robed priests. It is frightening to hear about this practice... According to the people of Nagrala, they believe that this practice of tossing the kids from a height of 30ft gives good luck, prosperity to their children which was is stupid to me and we can see those children's " good luck through their tears and their frightened looks which is really heartbreaking and frightening to watch. These babies are caught by people by holding blankets when the kids reach the ground. Many Child right activists criticize this practice and want to create awareness among the people about the dangers and illness of these kinds of practices and beliefs.

It really makes me angry to hear about this practice and belief.

In this video, we can see the so-called ritual happening in a village in Karnataka.

This practice and belief has not been stopped by the Government of India as there are no laws against it.

This issue is frightening and it is very sad to hear that these types of practices have not been stopped and still people believe this practice and continue even in this modern age.
