Make way for the Bullet!

The story of the temple that I am going to tell now will exceed your stories of the inane beliefs and ridiculous temples developed in the name of God. It's disappointing and absurd to know, even in the technologically developed world, people are still fooled and are superstitious .I think the reason behind the temples made for the film artists, that people fail to differentiate between the reality and the screen. The lack of practical thinking in us Indians ,restrain us from moving towards our main goal. As for the stone flying in the air, I won't believe until and unless I experience it myself. It makes me sad and annoyed at the same time to know these kinds of stories.

The story starts with a bike moving towards Chotila, a village from the town of Bangdhi and suddenly crashes into tree, as the driver Om Banna aka Om Singh Rathore loses control of the bike. The poor man dies on the spot. But the story doesn't end here. As per the protocols, the police officers took the bike for further investigation to the police station. Surprisingly, the next day, the Royal Enfield was found on the place of the accident. Shocked at this, the officers emptied the petrol tank and chained it in the police station. To their horror, the bike went back to the same place despite their efforts as said by the locals.

I like to appreciate the locals for their optimistic thinking. Instead of twisting it to another GHOST story, they made it a shrine, worshipping the Bullet Bike as the so-called wonder of this bike spread like wild-fire. The locals believe that the spirit of Om Banna protects and helps distressed travellers. People also offer alcohols, incense sticks, prayers, sweets and those who fail to do these are believed to experience a dangerous journey. The tree is also decorated by the people using bangles and scarfs.

This stands as proof for how we still behaving as HUMANS  are OUT OF TIME in spite of many scientific discoveries and inventions. I  would say that our ideals are useless if the people in our country are not sensible and the people in the cities are also of no exception. I am also waiting eagerly for other posts on these unusual temples.
